Total Cricket Scorer: http://code27.com/TCS/TCSHome.aspx
I have used Willow Scorebook since 1997. I find it very reliable & easy to use & set up. http://www.eddson.com/
www.pitchpad.com Full licence for the laptop version (call Pavillion) was just £25
Used it a few times now - very impressive - demo version available that is restricted to just 4 overs - enough to give you the gist.
I have been using Willow Scorebook for 8 years & I find it very user friendly. The print outs of the match are excellent.
Willow was something I used before TCS came out. Whilst it seemed quite good at the time, TCS is so much better.
I mean for example on Willow if you make a mistake the process of undoing it (say if the mistake only comes to light a few balls later) is very complex, and not user friendly at all. Whereas, on TCS you can simply click the Undo button to undo the last action, or edit the Ball Data at any time during the match.
The developer of Willow gave a talk at one of the ACU&S's Seminars for Scorers, and was asked the question about mistakes and why it was so hard and complex in the programme to correct them, and he came out with the immortal line "Scorers don't make mistakes, do they?". That sort of attitude, on top of the fact that there has been no support for the programme for about 3/4 years, means I no longer use it.
If I were to recommend a programme it would be Total Cricket Scorer, although also worth looking at is the Indian programme Scorite.
Take a look at Cricket Scorer - its a mature product with plenty of features and very easy to use. The reporting capability is superb. http://www.cricketsoft.game-host.org
