MEETING TIMES

 

First Wednesday afternoon every month    2.00 – 4.00pm

 

First Friday evening every alternate month – Feb, Apr, Jun, Aug, Oct, Dec  7.00 – 9.00pm

Talks are held on the alternate months.

 

Refreshments are served during the meeting.

 

Due to unforeseen circumstances, on rare occasions, a meeting may be cancelled. Please refer to the News page for any amendments.

 

             

 

 

LOCATION

 

Research Sessions are held at St James Church Hall at the corner of Wilbraham's Walk and Church Street, opposite St James’s Church. For a map see Location.

 

 

 

 

Non-members are welcome to all meetings on payment of £1.

A benefit of becoming a member is that Mrs Christine Huxley will undertake initial enquiries on your behalf (Contact us) Initial enquiries will be free of charge. However, if you require further information, please consider making a donation to the society. Please be aware that Christine has no access to a microfiche viewer and therefore cannot look through records that are on microfiche. A microfiche viewer is available at research meetings.

 

The Society is in the process of investing in a laptop so that information available on CD can be viewed at research meetings.

 

On the Wednesdays and Fridays the records of the society are available to those researching their family history. For a list of the available records and research material please go to the Records page.
